The VVAG Prayer Team’s primary purpose is to place increased emphasis on prayer. We believe that following God through fervent and intimate prayer is our first priority. We believe we have been given the mandate and authority from Jesus to effect change and to establish His Kingdom on earth.

We strive to follow the LORD’S leading through His Word and the Holy Spirit as we intercede for the leadership, members, families and friends of VVAG to see His will manifest in their lives. As our Lord leads, we endeavor to pray for local, state, national and global situations, groups and individuals to see His will done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Regarding the term and discipline of Spiritual Warfare:
Spiritual – Eph 6:12 teaches we don’t battle flesh and blood, but against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Warfare – 1Pet 5:8 warns us to remain vigilant because Satan is trying to devour us as a lion hunts, kills and consumes its prey.
Yet we do not fear – Our LORD is a Warrior – Exo 15:3 “The LORD is a man of war; the LORD is His name.”
He provides us with battle gear – Eph 6:13 to 19 explains that we are to put on the full armor of God.
He trains us to battle – Psa 144:1 “Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight.”
In the Spiritual realm – 2Cor 10:3 “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh :4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.”
